ALAIA STOKED!
Old Times. New Times. Yesterday I put my brand new shaped 70-23 alaia (7.0x18e.x1.25) into the waves and I was pretty stoked!
I figure out it was a bit too wide to really surf. Counterwise it works quite fine as the waves were not so good for this kind of board.

A friend of mine stood up few times too, better than me for sure, and liked the feeling of the board. It's still pretty heavier than average as its wider and longer shape but it's floating well, better than expected. Deck concave works pretty good and keeps feet on the track as the board easy rotate on those little walls. Frontside surfing only allowed, as it's pretty hard to go backsiding with this kind of plank. Next step is harder and it's about learning how to really control this board.
